Functions
Responsible for Assisting Control Account Managers (CAM) throughout the monthly business rhythm of progress and cost tracking/reporting, including doing any Progress/Earned Value data prep and analysis for assigned crafts/discipline areas.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Because Eastern Shipbuilding is continually growing to meet the needs of our customers, the essential duties and responsibilities may be different than described.
• Regular attendance at work and the ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Capturing process and production improvements.
• Daily progressing of Production Work Orders.
• Notify management of operations that delay production and alter schedules for unforeseen conditions.
• Stay in constant contact with all craft leadership and assist with any drawing or material issues.
• Tracking of material in support of the production build schedules.
• Perform work in accordance with ESG's ISO standards and EVMS system description
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: No supervision duties. Travel, if required, is primarily local.
Reporting Relationship
This position will report to the Production Control Supervisor.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
Education required:
• Graduation from high school or GED.
Desired:
• Associate degree.
Certifications Required:
• Control Account Manager certification
Experience Required:

  • 1 to 2 years working knowledge of shipyard, manufacturing, construction environments; or equivalent experience.
Desired:
  • Administrative support for standard office practices and procedures.
  • Government contracts environment, providing program support to senior level management.
  • Experience in quality control or assurance.
Skills :
Required:
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Microsoft Suite experience including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of various web-based design and collaboration tools
Desired:
  • Advance skills in data systems and/or Microsoft suite
  • Project Management or Earned Value Management system training or certifications

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • This position is a 75% Shipyard and 25% Office split between the office and field work.
  • Routine use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
  • Environmental Attributes: Cold, Dry, Dusty, Fumes, Hot, Inside, Noise, Oily, Outside, Wet
  • The physical demands must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the workday.
  • Must use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be physically and medically qualified to wear all required personal protective equipment, as prescribed under Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
  • Must be able to work above ground at heights of a minimum of 50 feet aloft and/or working from scaffolding and/or man-lifts while working with machinery; in confined spaces and withstanding extreme heat and cold in an outside climate or confined space.
