Job Title: X-ray Inspector - Aerospace Parts

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled X-ray Inspector to join our aerospace team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing non-destructive testing (NDT) using X-ray/radiographic inspection techniques to evaluate and ensure the integrity of aerospace parts and components. This role is crucial in identifying internal flaws, ensuring weld quality, inspecting composite materials, and guaranteeing the safety and reliability of aerospace systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform X-ray inspections on various aerospace parts and components, including metal, composite, and additive-manufactured parts.
- Detect and evaluate internal flaws such as cracks, voids, porosity, and inclusions in materials.
- Inspect the quality of welded joints to ensure compliance with aerospace safety standards.
- Evaluate cast components and parts produced by additive manufacturing (3D printing) to ensure they meet specified quality standards.
- Conduct X-ray inspections of composite materials to identify delamination, cracks, or voids.
- Use X-ray imaging techniques to detect internal corrosion in metal parts.
- Work closely with quality assurance and engineering teams to interpret inspection results and determine the next steps.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections and provide reports to relevant teams.
- Ensure all inspections comply with industry safety regulations and company standards.
- Operate and maintain X-ray equipment in accordance with established protocols.
Qualifications:
- Certification or training in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), with specialization in Radiographic Testing (RT) or X-ray inspection.
- Experience in performing X-ray inspections in the aerospace industry is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of aerospace materials, including metals, composites, and additive-manufactured components.
- Familiarity with weld inspection standards and procedures.
