General Summary:
The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial and accounting operations for HCA Physician Services (HCAPS). This role requires a detailed understanding of HCA's financial systems and strong accounting expertise. You will partner with the Director of Finance to develop financial reports, analyze data, and identify trends to support HCAPS's executive decision-making. Additionally, you will serve as a financial controller for clinic operations and mentor staff within the finance department.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field (required)
- 3 years of professional accounting experience in a supervisory role
- Experience in healthcare accounting is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the monthly and annual closing cycles, general ledger accounting, budget review, and clinic internal controls.
- Collaborate with the CFO, Director of Finance, and staff to develop short- and long-term financial plans related to budgeting, profitability, accounting systems, reporting, and internal auditing.
- Ensure the accuracy and timely preparation of all financial reports for HCAPS.
- Partner with HCAPS management, finance personnel, and facility personnel to create annual operating and capital budgets.
- Lead, train, and evaluate staff to ensure a high level of service and technical expertise.
- Work with HCAPS administration and IT to develop reports that monitor the financial performance of all practice entities.
- Analyze financial and statistical reports to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend actionable solutions.
- Monitor physician contracts and acquisitions to ensure compliance with all contractual obligations.
- Analyze practice performance to identify best practices and areas for improvement, reporting findings to HCAPS management.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field (required)
Experience:
- More than 3 years of professional accounting and/or auditing experience with supervisory responsibilities, including experience in a healthcare organization (preferred)

- Strong communication skills to convey information clearly to staff, field operations, and medical professionals.
