management, data science, computational sciences, statistics, market analysis, mathematics, public administration,
public policy, risk management, taxation, or technology
c. Four (4) or more years of financial services experience in one or more of the following: Metrics and Reporting,
Statistical Data Analysis, Business Analytics, Data Visualization, Data Quality and Timeliness, Data Governance &
Management, Internal Controls, Risk Management, Auditing
Substitutions: A J.D. or a Master's Degree may substitute for one (1) year of specialized experience
2. Job Description and Required Services:
Motivated and analytically driven Statistical Assistant to be part
of the Virtual Currency Unit (VCU) within the Research and Innovation Division.
This position will be part of the Virtual Currency Data Governance group within the VCU. The position will help drive the
transformation of data, and business processes and practices. The role will also develop data analytics and reports.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Reviews and monitors quality of data submissions by entities, monitors variances, identifies trends, and
recommends relevant actions.
• Designs and prepares periodic reports as per requirements details in official policies.
• Closely collaborate with data stakeholders in the Limited Purpose Trust Unit to drive decision making processes
and facilitate discussions to address outstanding items.
• Use technical expertise to automate manual processes and reporting.
• Compile and compute data according to statistical formulas for use in data analysis and/or statistical studies.
• Work with complex data sets to understand problems and recommend procedures while using various analytical
and statistical approaches.
• Use business intelligence software (Tableau) to create dashboards and visualize data.
• Prepare business analytics and assist in preparing metrics and reporting for the Limited Purpose Trust Unit.
• Respond to ad hoc requests for data, aggregations, and visualizations.
• Conduct research and analysis of data, definitions and usage, system flows, challenges, and opportunities.
• Develop documentation including data dictionaries, policies, and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
In addition, the candidate must possess and/or have the ability to:
• Metrics and reporting experience
• Data analysis experience
• Data visualization experience
• High-level competency in Excel (advanced formulas, macros, etc.)
• Solid understanding of relational database management systems, SQL, data modeling
• Ability to translate complex business requirements to technical specifications for IT
• Highly motivated and effective working autonomously and as part of cross-functional teams
