AWS is seeking an experienced Sales Compensation Specialist, preferably with a sales compensation and sales operations background. The person in this role will manage and drive initiatives across the Global Sales Compensation organization to help the AWS sales compensation organization scale and keep pace with rapid business growth.

This person will work autonomously to manage multiple complex projects and schedules, provide leadership status updates, manage risk, and track relevant metrics. This person will combine an ability to influence with problem-solving and organizational skills to drive superior outcomes.

Key job responsibilities

The ideal candidate has a proven track record for rolling up their sleeves, maintaining a high level of ownership and accountability and delivering best-in-class support to their internal and external customers.

You will manage the Global Sales Compensation SPIF and Incentives Policies and will:

  1. Validate data; quantify impact through data analysis and communicate proposed resolutions and timelines to leadership.
  2. Identify operational and strategic risks and engage necessary stakeholders to frame issues and the desired end states.
  3. Communicate effectively with multiple levels of leadership.
  4. Identify and resolve gaps in existing policies.
  5. Ensure all compensation methodologies, policies, procedures and governance are followed.
  6. Collaborate with internal stakeholders including HR, AWS Legal, AWS Product Team, and GSC Business Operations Team to ensure all compensation methodologies, policies, and procedures are maintained in production.
  7. Create mechanisms to help improve efficiency of processes.

A day in the life

  1. Autor and Manage the Global Sales Compensation SPIF and Incentive policies.
  2. Partner with Legal team to ensure policies align with local and country laws.
  3. Partner and influence across multi-levels in the GSC organization to ensure business processes align to SPIF and Incentive Policy.
  4. Perform complex data analysis to drive business process improvements.
  5. Identify gaps in business and system processes to drive an automated solution.

About Sales, Marketing And Global Services (SMGS)

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

Basic Qualifications

  1. 5+ years of Microsoft Excel experience.
  2. Experience conducting sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data and translate the results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations.
  3. Experience developing and implementing systems/tools utilized for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting, Salesforce automation, etc.
  4. Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience using Salesforce (or other CRM tool) or BI tools.
  2. Experience in sales operations or equivalent.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $120,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $199,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
