Location:

Manhattan (Primary Site): New York, NY 10029

Queens (Oversight Area)

In-Person Clinic Setting, with occasional monthly home care cases

Compensation: $300,000 - $320,000 annually.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM


Purpose

Under the leadership of the Chief Medical Officer, the Regional Medical Director is responsible for delivering and overseeing high-quality medical care for patients at the Diagnostic and Treatment Centers. This role includes professional, organizational, and administrative duties, ensuring comprehensive patient care in the CLHC/Day Treatment Center.


Key Responsibilities:


Medical Practice Oversight

  • Act as the primary medical authority and Regional Medical Director for assigned centers, overseeing patient care and supporting interdisciplinary teams.
  • Supervise ambulatory medical services, ensuring timely and effective care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and site directors, participating in case conferences, hospitalization reviews, and team meetings.
  • Balance evidence-based medical practices with individual patient needs and values.

Provider Operations

  • Ensure optimal staffing and provider coverage across all sites.
  • Contribute to the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new providers.
  • Lead educational initiatives and professional development programs.
  • Supervise call scheduling and maintain provider staffing levels.
  • Participate in annual performance evaluations, policy reviews, and the development of patient care policies aligned with industry standards.


Outcomes Management

  • Drive improvements in care quality through a solid understanding of population health and managed care principles.
  • Oversee Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) programs across sites.
  • Monitor and assess provider performance related to quality, cost, and utilization.
  • Promote patient-centered practices in all program rollouts, ensuring alignment with patient needs.


Qualifications


Education

  • Graduate of an accredited school of medicine.
  • Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Practice; Geriatric Medicine board certification or experience preferred.
  • Residency in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, or relevant Geriatrics experience.


Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in supervising healthcare staff, preferably within value-based organizations, advanced primary care, or managed care.
  • Demonstrated experience managing provider groups.
  • Experience in working with frail or elderly populations is required. For candidates with less than one year of experience, PACE training in caring for elderly populations will be provided.


Licensing and Additional Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted New York State medical license.
  • Medicaid and Medicare Provider ID in good standing.
  • Up-to-date immunizations and medical clearance for communicable diseases.
  • Legally authorized to practice in New York State.
