Position Overview
Major global and established company has an opportunity at their site in the Atlanta metropolitan area due to an upcoming retirement for a Regulatory Compliance Manager . This role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with chemical control and other product-related regulations and for providing legislative advocacy within the Americas region for company products across all business lines. Responsibilities include coordinating PSRA activities with the LRA research and technology, manufacturing, and business staff in the Americas to ensure good product stewardship, global regulatory compliance, and the development of sustainable technology. This role allows for 2 days of remote work per week and is not travel-oriented. Major company benefits include a 10% bonus potential, a very attractive 401K with matching, and relocation assistance.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor development of chemical-related regulations within the region and develop appropriate plans to mitigate consequences and identify opportunities for new product/application developments.
- Develop PSRA processes and systems ensuring compliance with new and existing regulations.
- Prepare and submit notifications or registrations dossiers to the authorities for compliant marketing of company products in the region.
- Assess and communicate the compliance status of company products to internal and external customers.
- Interact with authorities to support ongoing notifications, request clarifications, or manage inspections.
- Work with the Global Hazard Communication (Hazcom) team to ensure all required Hazcom documents (e.g., MSDS, labels) for products comply with current regional regulations.
- Determine and propose regional participation in business teams, trade associations, and advocacy groups to the PSRA Director.
- Manage Product Stewardship Compliance Form submissions through the Product Steward Network.
- Coordinate activities for multiple plant products.
- Train business partners on regulatory requirements affecting products to ensure business compliance.
- Manage Product Regulatory Compliance aspects of Management of Change.
- Responsible for Product Regulatory Compliance of new products through the AIMS process.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in the chemical industry; experience in coatings/inks is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in US and overseas Chemical Regulatory Compliance; knowledge of FDA or other American or International Chemical Control Laws and Regulations is a plus.
- Fluent English is required; Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.
- Technical management or senior technical specialist experience in Chemical Regulatory Compliance.
- Hazcom experience is a plus.
- Organic chemistry background preferred, but non-organic will also be considered.
- Petrochemical experience is a plus.
- Very good communication skills are needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or related field such as Chemical Engineering or Toxicology is required.
