Job Requirements / Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for recruitment efforts, new hire orientation and onboarding, employee termination, payroll and benefits, company policy and procedure adherence. In addition, you will build strong relationships with our company's managers to help them with their human resource needs. This position is for a small enterprise with two Registered Investment Advisors (RIA)'s.

Job Summary:

The Human Resources Manager manages and executes HR strategies and initiatives that align with the company’s goals. This role oversees recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and organizational development. The HR Manager serves as a strategic partner to management and employees, ensuring a positive work environment and the efficient management of HR processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee full cycle of recruitment efforts
  • Develop and oversee new hire orientation, onboarding efforts, and employee termination process
  • Benefits administration, including health and dental, 401k program, workers' compensation insurance, and assisting with other corporate insurance coverages (e.g., errors and omissions, D&O, general liability, etc.)
  • Manage all payroll-related activities, including onboarding, preparing/approving payroll transactions executed by Finance, terminations, and related statutory filing requirements
  • Assist with state registrations and licensing
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as legal responsibilities
  • Maintain Employee Handbook
  • Work with and onboard contractors, as well as any contractor statutory compliance issues that may arise
  • Ensure that Senior Management is informed of market salary conditions and where we stand in comparison
  • Manage performance review process to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and fairness
  • Support organizational change management and continuous improvement efforts
  • Perform other related duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Human Resources, or related area
  • 5+ years of experience working in Human Resources
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and organizational management
  • Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working with RIAs is preferred but not required
