SUMMARY
The intern will be provided the opportunity to gain exposure to the loan sales and origination process through cross functional collaboration with various departments including underwriting, lending, appraisal, loan operations, accounting, and others. by the end of the program, the intern will understand the key functions and processes required to make sound credit decisions that result in an exceptional customer experience while managing risk to the organization. To facilitate the objective, the intern will have the opportunity to participate in the following work:
- Detailed training of the complete lending process and 5 Cs of credit
- Opportunities to participate in the origination of new loans and service an existing loan portfolio
- Attend customer visits and community events
- Complete a project that provides value to the organization
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Actively participate in a tailored credit training program
- Completion of various tasks relevant to loan origination and servicing as assigned by the intern coach(s)
- Completion of an assigned project to be presented in person at the conclusion of the internship
- Engage with staff and customers in a positive and professional manner
BASIC FUNCTION:
The summer intern is responsible for completing a project for a specific business unit or team. Projects will vary based on business need, and project plans can evolve through the selection process. Interns will spend the majority of their time on an individual project assignment. The summer intern is also responsible for developing skills relevant to their performance and professional development.
The summer internship program is 10 weeks beginning in late May and ending in early August. The internship program begins with a mandatory Orientation and ends with mandatory project presentations.Start dates may be flexible depending on individual circumstances, pending ability to attend Orientation.
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Pursuing a four-year degree or enrolled in a graduate program. Major emphasis in agriculture, data/analytics, technology, finance,business administration, or equivalent.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred.
- Strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonalskills.
- Proficientin Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Must becomfortable adapting quickly to new technology and software.
- Must havethe ability to travel.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must havethe ability to perform basic office tasks, work in an office or outdoor settingand be able to sit at a desk and work at a computer for an extended period oftime. This job regularly requires the employee to visit job sites and must beable walk, sit, crouch, kneel, crawl, reach, and be able to lift up to 40pounds. Ability to navigate around construction equipment and business materials is required. Must have the ability to walk for some distance, more than a mile, during or getting to an inspection. Must have strong written and verbalcommunication skills to adequately convey ideas and work well with a team.Ability to talk and hear, sit and use their hands and fingers, and reach in alldirections is essential in performance of the job. Some travel required and projects requiring driving to local destinations require a clear driver history check. Work during established business hours and may require occasionalweekend and/or evening work.
PART-TIME REMOTE/HYBRID: These employees will work partly remote and partly onsite. Part-time remote employees will work with their managers to determine when and how often they are needed onsite.COMPENSATION:
