How You Will Make An Impact:
- Work independently to identify new business opportunities for the organization from industry knowledge, personal research, existing relationships, interactions with marketing and business intelligence tools.
- Identify opportunities to introduce new or existing customers to additional services or business units.
- Effectively deliver value proposition and key differentiators of Bend Bioscience. Develop customer-specific solutions that meet a customer’s needs.
- Conduct initial high-level technical feasibility assessments of potential new business project(s).
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to complete the proposal and negotiation processes.
- Track proposal progression through coordination, support, and collaboration with the Proposals team. Participate and contribute to technical discussions and pricing of proposals with relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain working knowledge of Bend Bioscience capabilities. Conduct introductory calls with clients to qualify opportunities across multiple internal sites. Cross-sell Bend sites effectively.
- Create and implement sales strategies within their territory that align with Bend Bioscience’s strategic priorities, goals, and marketing opportunities.
- Demonstrate proficiency in using Salesforce to track sales activities and customer interactions.
- Develop, execute, and present territory sales plans to identify, qualify, and close new deals to achieve sales and revenue goals.
- Manage sales cycle for RFPs, Opportunities, and Lifecycle Management, identifying key decision-makers and buying motivations for clients using opportunity management methodology.
- Actively represent Bend Bioscience by participating in tradeshows, conferences, and/or customer-related events on behalf of the company to maximize company exposure and produce business leads.
- Exhibit professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices.
What you will bring to the role:
- Generally a Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline (Life Sciences, Engineering, Business Management) preferred.
- Generally a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the contract pharmaceutical industry with proven success and strength in developing strong customer relationships and translating customer challenges into sales.
- Small molecule and formulation experience is advantageous.
- Understanding of oral solid dose and bioavailability enhancement approaches is a plus.
Special Working Conditions: Employee will be required to travel overnight by car and airplane to different work and client locations, traveling approximately 40-50% of the time.
