PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Full Stack Engineer III performs a key role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable front and back-end software solutions with databases, servers, and clients. This position exists to serve as a lead role in a cross-functional team responsible for the full software life cycle from conception to deployment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Manages full life cycle of software development from conception to deployment.
  2. Designs overall architecture of web applications that optimize site functionality.
  3. Drives the development and organization of web applications, structure code, and separate files.
  4. Ensures proper setup of file hosting, configures servers and databases for website functionality.
  5. Designs user-based interactions through effective front-end architecture.
  6. Develops functional databases, applications, and servers to support websites on the back end.
  7. Implements scalable web services, applications, and APIs.
  8. Performs the role of lead engineer during Sprint planning and regular code reviews.
  9. Maintains quality and ensures responsiveness and security of applications. Maintains code integrity and organization.
  10. Creates security and data protection settings.
  11. Conducts unit, integration, and system tests. Identifies and solves coding issues.
  12. Provides support associated with assigned deployments and creates checklists for large deployments.
  13. Troubleshoots, debugs, and upgrades software.

Collaborates with various teams in delivering end to end software solutions.

  1. Partners with project management and other engineering teams in determining overall system solutions.
  2. Works closely with Product teams to develop platforms that enhance user experience and functionality.
  3. Partners with QA team in developing test plans and test cases.
  4. Partners with Architects in defining tooling and standards.
  5. Documents software development best practices including unit testing, code reviews, and CI/CD.
  6. Defines and documents technical solution approaches ensuring consistency and scalability.
  7. Conducts POC interfacing with different teams on recent technologies.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibility but may mentor and train other engineers.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university with a major or emphasis in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or related field. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Minimum 8 years of experience required as a Full Stack Engineer or similar role. Experience working with graphic designers and converting designs to visual elements. Experience with cloud message APIs and usage of push notifications. Experience in development for mobile applications preferred.

This position operates in an office environment and requires the frequent use of a computer, telephone, copier, and other standard office equipment.

The current range for this position is $113,668.05 - $203,468.21, exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. If hired at ICW Group, your final base salary compensation will be determined by factors unique to each candidate, including experience, education, and the location of the role, and considers employees performing substantially similar work.
