DIRECTOR OF SALES

The Director of Sales is the Leader of a specific Pinstripes location; helps motivate, mentor, and develop their team to reach their highest potential in event and catering sales.

Event & Catering Sales Growth

Sales Strategy

  1. Owns the Quarterly Event and Catering Sales Strategy set by Company Leadership
  2. Effectively communicate the strategy progress and results to Leadership

Business

  1. Drive new business
  2. Build return business
  3. Distribute incoming event and catering leads to appropriate team members
  4. Motivate and encourage team to refer event/catering business
  5. Be Creative in Selling when it is Beneficial for the Venue
  6. Educate team on conversion and develop team members to reach and maintain conversion of 69% or higher

Event & Catering Packages and Options

  1. Understand all Event & Catering Packages and Options
  2. Exhibit the ability to Sell these Packages and Options

Marketing & Promotions

  1. Utilizes the Marketing Tools to gain leads
  2. Utilizes current promotions to close business
  3. Be Creative in bringing new marketing ideas
  4. Add input on monthly local Store Marketing calls

Team Market Focus

  1. Understand competitors and how to win against them
  2. Stay on top of market trends
  3. Stay connected with community and top decision makers in market
  4. Ability to perform through Market Research

Guest Engagement

  1. Manage the team to maintain a guest-centered focus
  2. Positively interact with guests to create repeat business
  3. Fully solve negative guest experiences
  4. Be involved with VIP guests as necessary

Relationship with Venue Leaders

  1. Work seamlessly with General Manager and Executive Chef

Reporting

  1. Ensure that Sales Reporting is accurate, and understand individual and team sales numbers
  2. Be in Tune with Sales Budgets for the Fiscal Year
  3. Understand the key KPI reports

Coaching & Team Development

Team Growth

  1. Understand sales team’s goals and career path
  2. Understand sales team’s strengths and areas of opportunity
  3. Perform sales team one on one conversations
  4. Perform sales team personal evaluations
  5. Own the continued education training program

Sales Manager and Catering Sales Manager Training Program

  1. Own the initial sales team training program and hold team accountable to their potential
  2. Assist with onboarding new sales team members
  3. Assist with recruiting process when needed

Uphold Systems & SOPs

Selling Packages and Space

  1. Ensure that Explanations and Descriptions are accurate
  2. Ensure that the Sales Team is Maximizing the Space

Obtaining BEO Details within Appropriate Time Frame

  1. Ensure that BEOs are detailed by their deadline

BEO Details with Correct Execution Information

  1. Ensure BEOs make sense operationally
  2. Apply room capacities, floor plans, etc.

BEO Details with Correct Financial Information

  1. Apply room minimums, financial charges, etc.
  2. Maintain Direct Billing clients, and ensure timely payment

Execution of the “Pass Off”

  1. Ensure that all events are greeted by a member of the sales team
  2. Ensure all guest concerns are fully addressed

FOH & BOH Execution of SOPs

  1. Check room set ups, food presentation, service timing

Balancing Event Financials

  1. Ensure that your assigned event financials are correctly balanced

Requirements

  1. Previous High-Volume Sales Experience (5+ Years) preferably in hospitality, restaurant, and/or entertainment venue
  2. Previous Director Level Experience (2+ Years)
  3. Ability to motivate others
  4. Ability to create a positive culture
  5. Demonstrates deep knowledge of the location market
  6. Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while remaining calm under pressure
  7. Extremely Organized and Efficient
  8. Flexible in approach, can readily adopt to business and team needs and changes
  9. Excellent Computer Skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Gmail)
  10. Previous CRM usage preferred
  11. Excellent Communication and Leadership Skills
