The anticipated salary range for this role is between $225,000.00 and $225,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. Role Description

The main function of this position is to structure and execute transactions across product groups as part of the Infrastructure Finance North America team. Actively participate with senior colleagues in the origination, due diligence, and structuring of transactions across the infrastructure asset class within the credit and business guidelines established by the Bank. Follow market trends, collect marketing intelligence, and propose ideas to the team for new opportunities. Support execution efforts, reviewing due diligence reports, coordinating processes with clients, advisors, other lenders, and internal counterparties, and provide guidance and training to junior colleagues. Responsibility also includes cross-selling of products that enhance the return for the Bank and executing per the department strategy set forth by management.

Role Objectives

  • Lead the execution of project finance and structured finance transactions in North America with the oversight of the group head and/or other senior colleagues.
  • Present the transaction internally, lead the preparation of credit applications for all new transactions, manage the credit process with the Credit Department and back office, perform any due diligence activities, negotiate documentation, etc.
  • Continuously monitor and manage existing transactions and relationships, including the review and processing of waivers and amendments, internal reports, special credit requirements, etc.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with other departments with overlapping clients in order to develop new business opportunities and enhance our position in the market.
  • Understand external regulatory matters and internal compliance and policies and procedures; pro-actively escalate operational risk loss events to management as necessary.
  • Delegate and review the work of junior members of the team and provide guidance and feedback.
  • Attend bank meetings, industry events, conferences, and seminars in order to keep abreast of industry trends and developments and to expand the network of client contacts.
  • Marketing and origination of new transactions by preparing pitch books and marketing materials and attending client meetings.
  • Present research and analytics that supports new business opportunities.

Qualifications and Skills

Work Experience:

  • Recommended 7 years of experience in the finance industry.
  • Relevant professional experience in a project finance team.
  • Hands-on experience with financial modelling, due diligence, negotiating term sheets and finance documentation, mitigating credit and other risks, and other related structured finance activities.
  • Experience analyzing and negotiating documentation for financing and investments.

Education:

  • Required: BA / BS

Software Systems:

  • MS Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Bloomberg.
  • Strong proficiency particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong writing and analytical skills.
