Salutem – a specialist Daniel J. Edelman Health agency – is seeking an Account Supervisor with a passion to practice corporate and brand communications to join our growing Healthcare team. Salutem’s Health team counsels clients to articulate and communicate the corporate stories of health care companies for the purpose of stakeholder engagement, reputation management, public affairs, CSR, employee engagement, and financial communications. Health-related PR experience preferred.

The Account Supervisor should bring strong experience in account management and client relationship building to be leveraged across several of the team’s highly visible and growing accounts. S/he should have experience working with health care organizations on product communications, executive positioning, thought leadership, conference engagement, and business/health media. Additionally, the Account Supervisor will support the team by performing fundamental tasks such as industry and company research, development of messaging materials, strategic planning, coaching team members, and budget management.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee operational performance of accounts, ensuring quality work, deadline and budget adherence
- Play major role in creation of communications plans and goals; manage against them
- Serve as daily client contact and act as client lead when appropriate; address client issues thoughtfully and effectively
- Consistently produce high quality internal and external communications content
- Build relationships with third-party influencers and internal business partners to meet client needs
- Demonstrate tactical proficiency in media relations, including creating and driving both traditional and social media outreach plans
- Supervise staff by motivating, coaching, consistently providing feedback, holding them accountable and conducting their reviews
- Contribute to business growth through introducing clients to new capabilities, building network of industry contacts and participating in relevant professional organizations
- Commit to continuous learning and improvement of leadership skills; set and pursue stretch goals
- Generate creative ideas and help to lead multiple client programs simultaneously
- Possess a solid understanding of the current healthcare landscape and the relevant issues impacting organizations and businesses active in the health space

Basic Qualifications:
- The Account Supervisor must have at least four years of relevant experience in public relations and/or related fields including research, advertising, management consulting, media, and publishing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- The Account Supervisor should have a bachelor’s degree in a related field, strong project management skills, experience functioning as a daily client contact, as well as the ability to develop and execute plans to meet client goals. S/he should have excellent written and verbal communications skills. S/he should also have demonstrated ability to manage up, delegate and edit the work of others. A candidate with experience or a strong interest in health care communications and/or Immunology is preferred.
Salary: $67,000 - $94,000 a year
An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
