Job DescriptionInsight Global is seeking a Vision and Measure Automation Engineer to join the team of one of their top manufacturing companies in Greenville, SC. This person will oversee the measurement and industrial vision aspects of capital projects and provide technical assistance to help the plant achieve its milestones and objectives. They will collaborate with the engineering team on development projects in the measurement and industrial vision field. Additionally, they will conduct design studies, oversee the procurement and fabrication of equipment, and manage the installation, commissioning, and startup of equipment within an industrial plant setting. This position is Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week with occasional weekend and holiday support during shutdowns. If you need assistance and/or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or recruiting process, please send a request to .To learn more about how we collect, keep, and process your private information, please review Insight Global's Workforce Privacy Policy: .Skills and RequirementsBachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent technical education and experience3 years of hands-on experience in Industrial Vision, Image processing, Physical measurements, Informatic Development(C++, C#, LabView).Strong knowledge of industrial vision technologies, including lighting, camera, laser sensor selection, and image processing algorithms.Knowledge of data acquisition, signal processing, and control systems.Specific experience with Cognex, Keyence, Bytewise, Gocator is required.Willing to travel 30-50% domestic and some international (within USA, Mexico and Canada)Experienced with PLC programming standards & programming software, including GRAFCET, Ladder Logic, and Structured Text.Experienced with HMI configuration, programming and communication.Experienced with controls systems network interfaces and various protocols for communications between devices including computer system databases. Robotic experience, configuration or knowledge is preferred.
