Job Summary

The mission of the UCSF Coordinating Center for Diagnostic Excellence (CoDEx) is to lead change in the field of diagnostic excellence by facilitating activities that result in measurable improvement in diagnostic accuracy, safety, and equity. CoDEx's Learning Hub is one of the 3 key pillars of the center's work (the others being the Engagement Hub and the Action Incubator). The Learning Hub will provide the diagnostic excellence community with the latest information about emerging developments in the field, including research findings, educational advancements, practice innovations, and policy changes. A central part of the Learning Hub's activity will be to highlight emerging trends in the rapidly advancing field of artificial intelligence and their impact on clinical diagnosis.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our growing team and help launch CoDEx's Learning Hub. The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in:

  1. Identifying new research findings and innovations in diagnostic excellence by regularly searching published medical literature, preprints, and other databases.
  2. Developing a methodology for identifying high-quality, practice-changing diagnostic excellence work.
  3. Synthesizing key diagnostic excellence content for multiple audiences (e.g., researchers, educators, quality improvement professionals, clinicians).
  4. Developing an editorial "voice" for the Learning Hub.
  5. Partnering with CoDEx's Director of Communications to develop a strategy for disseminating content to the diagnostic excellence community on a regular basis via multiple modalities (e.g., newsletters, webinars, journal clubs, social media).
  6. Measuring the reach and impact of the communications strategy.
  7. Partnering with CoDEx staff and leadership to plan and conduct regular meetings for the diagnostic excellence field.

In addition to being the Learning Hub staff lead, the Project Manager will have the opportunity to contribute to the work of CoDEx's other pillars, the Engagement Hub and the Action Incubator, and other cross-cutting work.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
