HR Generalist - Contract to Hire

POSITION OVERVIEW

This role supports corporate and in store leadership in equitably managing talent, policies, and procedures. This role is crucial in developing HR policies, fostering a positive work environment, resolving conflicts, and supporting company objectives and goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Oversight of employee relations across the company while providing coaching and support to managers on performance-related issues
2. Conduct HR investigations tactically and judiciously
3. Proven ability to develop and implement HR policies and procedures
4. Ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations
5. Ensure S+B’s HRIS remains updated and managed
6. Administering employee benefits, compensation and responding to unemployment claims
7. Manage offboarding process for departing employees
8. Preparing to meet HR + Payroll requirements in new markets as S+B expands
9. Running and auditing payroll to ensure employees are accurately paid on time

REQUIREMENTS

1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
2. 3+ years of proven experience in an HR capacity supporting 350+ hourly employees in multiple states
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
4. Strong organizational and time management skills
5. HR Certification
6. Preferred experience with HR software and systems (Rippling HRIS)
7. Contract to Full Time - 20 Hours a week, Hourly Compensation
