Position Overview: Leaders of Tomorrow Youth Center (LTYC) is a nonprofit
organization dedicated to fostering positive social development, academic success, and
creativity in youth through arts education. We operate an online apparel store that
supports our mission, providing unique products that celebrate the arts and our
community.
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Consultant to support our online
apparel store. This role will focus on scaling our business beyond breaking even,
defining sales goals, and creating effective strategies for marketing, buying, and selling.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, merchandising, and
buying, along with a passion for arts education and community engagement. As well as
possessing a keen understanding of product visibility and expansion as it pertains to
getting LTYC products in retailers, brick and mortar stores and online.

Collaborates With: LTYC Shop Creative Director, LTYC Marketing & Creative Strategist
Position Responsibilities:
- Define and implement sales goals and strategies to drive revenue growth for the online apparel store.
- Develop and manage budgets related to sales, marketing, and product purchasing, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitor strategies, utilizing insights to inform buying and selling decisions.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with local businesses, schools, and community organizations to expand brand visibility and increase sales.
- Oversee product selection and merchandising strategies, ensuring a diverse and appealing product range that resonates with our audience and enhances customer engagement.
- Negotiate with suppliers and manage relationships to ensure favorable terms and timely product availability.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create and implement promotional campaigns, leveraging digital marketing, social media, and community events to drive traffic and sales.
- Analyze sales data and key performance indicators to evaluate success and identify areas for improvement, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Build strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat purchases.
- Work closely with the SHOP team, Executives and other departments to align sales efforts with organizational goals and initiatives.
Qualifications
- Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, preferably in retail or e-commerce, with a strong focus on merchandising and buying.
- Education : Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong administrative skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for building relationships.
- Proven ability to develop and execute successful sales and marketing strategies.
- Experience in vendor negotiation and product selection is essential.
- Proficiency in sales and marketing software tools; experience with e-commerce platforms is a plus.
