Overview

Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Research Manager, Division of Neurology will manage the clinical research, registry, and research infrastructure of the Division. Provide oversight of research staff and assist faculty and fellows with administrative aspects of research and serve as a conduit between the Division of Neurology and the Saban Research Institute. Through training and audits, the Research Manager will ensure that studies comply with all applicable State, Federal, and CHLA regulations. The Research Manager will ensure all participation is in compliance with CHLA, HIPAA, and other applicable agreements. The Research Manager will provide financial oversight for all divisional research and registry activities and will report out at a regular cadence to division leadership. The Research Manager will be responsible for executing on the division’s strategic research initiatives; assessing, analyzing, and integrating research and registry data; and developing and growing Division of Neurology research portfolio.

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: 5+ years’ experience working in a similar capacity on a multi-site healthcare project, including coordination and budget development or equivalent combination of education and experience. Research and/or registry experience. Supervisory experience preferred. Recommended data science, statistical, bio stats, and/or preventative medicine background. Grants administrator experience. Budget/finance experience, Clinical trials experience, and Direct reporting experience highly preferred. Experience working with faculty with large research portfolios and has the ability to lead clinical trials and provide performance feedback to clinical research coordinators and assistants.

Education/Licensure/Certification: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or scientific field with 5+ years’ experience. MPH, MBA, MPA, PhD, MS in a relevant field (e.g., healthcare administration, public policy) is preferred.


Pay Scale Information

$72,176.00-$129,792.00

Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
