Job Summary Job Description Position entails Standardizing and documenting all manufacturing procedures and processes. Performing time studies, capability studies, Gage R&R's, and other statistical analysis to verify and qualify production processes and equipment. Participating in Lean Manufacturing improvement events (3Q6S, Kaizen and Rapid Improvement Events). Implementing cost reduction initiatives. Improving existing processes or creating new ones that support operations, quality, and engineering functions and driving the facility toward optimal efficiency Assisting with capital projects to increase capacity, improve material flow, reduce floor space requirements, and reduce costs. Managing the installation and startup of new and rebuilt equipment. Providing production support in the areas of safety, quality, throughput improvement, line balancing, inventory management, and cost optimization. Designing fixtures and tooling. Troubleshooting industrial equipment involving electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. Creating and managing detailed project specifications and plans. Ensuring safety is designed into all processes and implementing safety corrective actions necessary to eliminate safety risks. QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS Must be proficient with SolidWorks (or similar 3D modeling software), AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
