Duties and responsibilities:

- Complete electrical CAD designs utilizing AutoCAD to support firm-wide projects by working with Electrical Engineers, electrical teammates, and Project Managers (any discipline).
- Provide CAD design drawings, with Electrical Engineer supervision for the following but not limited to:
- Medium/low voltage power distribution systems
- Lightning protection systems
- Control systems, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Electrical equipment design (including switchboards and switchgear)
- Instrumentation and controls interconnection and design
- One-line diagrams
- Electrical equipment, lighting, and grounding layouts
- Electrical room/building layouts
- Block diagrams and cable tray layouts
- Panel and cable schedules
- Control system architecture and communication layouts
- Schematic and wiring diagrams
- Preliminary design concept sketches
- Final detail design electrical drawings
- 2D and 3D details and models
- Set up drawings including borders, title blocks, revision blocks, and drawing contents in accordance with established Moffatt & Nichol or project specific drafting standards
- Timely execution of responsibilities including working to meet production deadlines and progress milestones
- Interacting with Designers, Engineers, and Project Managers to create, update, correct or enhance drawings during the design process

Qualifications:
- Possess a 2-year certificate or an Associate degree from an accredited vocational/technical institute for computer-aided design or related
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D modeling (Revit) are required
- 6 to 15 years of related experience in transferring engineering markups into Revit and AutoCAD, but not limited to:
- Medium/low voltage power distribution systems
- Lightning protection systems
- Control systems, schematics and wiring diagrams
- Electrical equipment design (including switchboards and switchgear)
- One-Line diagrams
- Electrical equipment, lighting, and grounding layouts
- Electrical room/building layouts
- Block diagrams and cable tray layouts
- Panel and cable schedules
- Schematic and wiring diagrams
- Preliminary design concept sketches
- Final detail design electrical drawings
- 2D and 3D details and models
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel are required; Teams preferred
- Willingness and availability to travel, some overnight stays may be required
- Possession of or eligibility to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC)
- Possess DBIDS card or eligibility to successfully pass a background check to secure Department of Defense DBIDS card
- Due to client requirements, the selected candidate must show proof of U.S. citizenship. A federal background check will be conducted

Physical requirements:
The work for this position is generally not physically demanding. Most work will be in the office with travel and field investigations, as required.
