Job Summary:
The EVP for Product and Solutions is responsible for overseeing the development of defense and intelligence industry core product(s) and implementation of customer projects specifically tailored for those markets. This role requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of solutions architecture, product management, supply chain, software development methodologies, implementation processes, and exceptional project management skills. Maintaining the linkage with the corporate product strategies is a critical component of this position.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement solution strategies that align with the unique needs and objectives of defense & intelligence customers.
- Product Design & Solution Architecture: Provide governance and guidance on product design and solution architecture, ensuring that all designs meet the strategic objectives and technical requirements of defense projects. Oversee the creation of robust, scalable, and secure solutions that adhere to industry best practices and standards. Maintain linkage with corporate product strategies and organizations to align with and leverage corporate innovations into Defense and Intelligence communities.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage the development and implementation teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Project Management: In conjunction with Program Management teams, ensure the planning, execution, and delivery of defense-related projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Compliance and Security: Ensure all projects comply with relevant defense regulations, standards and security protocols, including ITAR, DFARS, Security and other Defense guidelines.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with key stakeholders, including defense officials, clients, and partners, to ensure alignment and support for development and implementation initiatives.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all development and implementation projects meet the highest standards of quality and performance, tailored to defense specifications.
- Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate resources, including personnel and budget, to maximize the impact of development and implementation efforts.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish KPIs and regularly monitor the performance of development and implementation initiatives, making adjustments as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
- Innovation: Drive innovation within the development and implementation teams, encouraging the adoption of new technologies and methodologies suitable for defense applications.
- Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical expertise and strategic insights to support the acquisition of new contracts, including the development and support of Defense Market and specific opportunity demonstrations, pilots, and proofs of concepts. Assist in proposal development, customer presentations, and negotiations to win deals.
- Collaboration: Work with non-development and implementation teams (I.e. Technical Writers, Production Support, Product Managers and Defense Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)) to promote enhancements and improved/new capabilities in the defense and intelligence industry core product(s).
Education: BS/MS in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Job requirements and skills :
- Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in product development and implementation, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably within the defense sector. Experience in developing & deploying cloud-based applications.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in strategic planning, supply chain product development, project management, and team leadership.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of supply chain planning and execution, familiarity with defense acquisition processes, standards, and regulations is a plus.
- Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in development and project management software and tools. Expertise in object-oriented programming, data structures and algorithms. Extensive knowledge in java programming, relational databases, enterprise application & system integration design patterns. High degree of strategic thinking and execution.
- Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and keep a SECRET security clearance. Having an active SECRET clearance is a plus.
- Leadership: Inspiring leader with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Proven ability to drive results and achieve goals.
- Flexibility: Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Travel: Have the ability to travel to customers location to conduct project analysis, lead visioning sessions and provide technical support to both Business Development and technical implementation teams.
