Position Summary

Direct and oversee all business change management efforts associated with the NYU IT portfolio across all departments and teams including but not limited to Infrastructure, Operations, Teaching & Learning, Research Technology, Enterprise Data Management, Strategy & Planning. Serve as the change management expert to inform and drive solutions for the NYU IT portfolio in support of all projects and initiatives implemented to support end users within and external to the organization. Work closely with the Project Managers to integrate project management and change management plans and deliverables and coordinate roadmap planning for the NYU IT Portfolio. Provide expertise, oversight and guidance in support of the entire PSO portfolio and associated projects as it relates to change management ideas and processes– including but not limited to HR, Finance, Student Services, Alumni Relations and Academic Affairs. Develop, plan, manage, coordinate, and execute project change management strategies, training, and communications activities and documentation. Serve as deputy to Executive Director of Change Management.

Qualifications

Required Education:

Bachelor's degree

Preferred Education:

Master's degree

Required Experience:

8 or more years' relevance experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Experience:

Experience working in Higher Education or a complex global organization. Experience with large IT transformation projects, experience with outsourcing engagements.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

Strong business change management skills applied to large implementation/transformational projects from kickoff to launch. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills; excellent written and oral communication skills. Training development and delivery experience. Excellent project management, planning and coordination skills; Leadership and interpersonal skills in working with a diverse user population. Ability to identify risks and develop risk mitigation strategies. Experience working in an IT environment and a solid understanding of key IT terms, functions and business processes.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

Knowledge and experience with Prosci’s ADKAR methodology, Project Management experience.
