Premise offers a wide range of dynamic, purpose-drivencareer opportunities. We are currently looking for a Full-Time Patient Care Tech to join our team located in Jacksonville, FL.  The schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. No weekend shifts and no major holidays! 

 

About the Role:  Assists inexamination, treatment, and assistance of patients under direction ofPhysician, Advanced Practitioner and/ or RN in compliance with state practiceacts and regulations.

 

Essential Functions: 

  • Interviews patients,measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight,and height, and records information on patients' charts.
  • Provides patients'personal hygiene, assisting with travel to the bathroom/toileting, andactivities of daily living.
  • Prepares treatmentrooms and patients for examination.
  • Cleans and sterilizesinstruments.
  • Inventories and ordersmedical supplies and materials.
  • Operateselectrocardiograph (EKG) and other equipment to administer routine diagnostictests.
  • Performs routine CLIAwaived laboratory tests/collects specimens for routine laboratory tests.
  • Schedules appointmentsand makes follow up phone calls to patients.
  • Performsadministrative tasks, completes appropriate client company and OSHA regulatedforms, and provides assistance at front desk.
  • Keys data intocomputer to maintain clinic and patient records.
  • Other duties may beassigned.

Job Requirements:  

Education:

  • CPR (BLS for theHealthcare Provider/Professional Rescuer - the copy must include the front andback of card as applicable) Certification must include “hands on” evaluation ofskills by the trainer/instructor. Total on-line courses will not be accepted. Coursemust also meet the American Heart Association (AHA) standards but need not bean AHA certificate.
  • State Lab Certificate(NV only)
  • Associate’s degree orequivalent from an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant Programtraining program (preferred). 

Experience: 

  • Work experience inhealth center/ doctor’s office setting patient and/or long-term care.
  • Knowledge andexperience with Electronic Medical Records (preferred).
