Summary/Objective
The Vice President of Sales is responsible for developing and managing the overall equipment sales strategy for the company’s California and Nevada boiler and pump sales operations.

- Develop an organizational structure and team to deliver high value sales and solutions that exceed customer expectations.
- Be driving force for team meetings with Sales Manager at local level identifying strategy for territory, identification of target accounts, and plans for attacking those accounts including periodic follow-up meetings to review progress with target accounts.
- Drive generation of uniform reports to be used by teams identifying key accounts, recapture accounts, year-over-year sales growth, etc.
- Develop and refine equipment solution offerings, requirements definition and processes for achieving sales & revenue targets, corporate goals and objectives.
- Leading, guiding, directing, and evaluating the work of other employees, such as sales managers, and ensuring a healthy working environment across the business.
- Facilitate an on-going and consistent review of sales activities and develop a collaborative process with the Sales Managers to ensure product and service enhancements based upon customer feedback and experience implementing the company’s solutions.
- Assisting in managing the company's finances, identifying ways to increase equipment sales revenue and decrease costs, analyzing financial reports, and preparing operating budgets at the local and division level.
- Owns the P&L at the division and local level in conjunction with the Sales Managers and Operations Managers.
- Develop and enable partner relationships with system integrators (CRM) and manufacturers where these firms will enhance our services.
- Assisting the president to design the company's overall mission, values, and strategic goals.
- Contributing to sales innovations, strategic business development, and the profitability of the company as determined by the company's strategic goals.
- Assisting in maximizing the company's sales performance and achieving its financial goals.
- Evaluating the success of the division in achieving its goals and formulating plans to correct any issues if the company is not achieving its goals.
- Maintaining awareness of competitors, expansion opportunities, new product opportunities, customers, markets, and new industry developments and standards.
- Manage key principal relationships including through periodic pipeline reviews, meetings for key projects, annual principal sales meetings, etc.
- Work with marketing group on marketing initiatives, trade show participation, RFM literature, customer events, etc.
- Dual Responsibility with Sales Managers and HR for Employee Recruiting, Development, Training and Retention for All Positions at all locations.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in the office, offsite and field environments requiring the adaptation to each of these specific environments.
Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear and collaborate with others. This is largely a managing role in the office; however, field site and other outside of the office visits will be required. The employee is regularly required to use computers and provide presentations in an office environment. This also requires employee to lift light to heavy boxes, pulling, bend or stand on a ladder, climb stairs, reach with hands and arms, squat, moving furniture, configuring meeting rooms/spaces as necessary for either office or field environment.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Normal days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
However, frequently work times vary due to jobsite requirements, so flexibility is expected.
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 5 or more years’ experience in a managerial role.
- Proven working experience as a leader and motivator.
- Valid Driver’s License, with good driving record and no violations
- Excellent Time Management Skills
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
This position will require frequent travel to any of our offices in the areas we serve. Additional travel will be required to attend meetings with manufacturers suppliers and prospective customers.
