We’re partnering with a local multi-billion USD manufacturing/tech leader that is seeking a Design Engineer for their cutting-edge R&D team (TRL 0-4).
As a Design Engineer you would be joining the technology team, helping to develop and drive early innovation in automation for autonomous vehicles at the forefront of cutting-edge technology. This is a product design role located in Redmond/Bothell, WA and you will be tasked with developing and applying reliable engineering methods, theories and research techniques.
Competitive Salary of $90,000-$105,000
- Main Duties and Responsibilities of the Design Engineer
- Perform design, analysis, and testing of electric/mechanical components along with system architecture and performance calculations
- Perform design and testing of electrical control systems related to product design including harnesses, power distribution, and basic mechatronics programming
- Develop innovative new designs from initial concept to implementation and advance existing designs and technologies
- Verify and document compliance with applicable global and regional standards
- Specify component and machine testing, create procedures and detail testing processes
- Document designs with solid part models, assemblies, schematics using CAD software (Solidworks).
- Verify designs using traditional analytical methods in conjunction with appropriate analytical tools and hands on testing and prototyping
- Required Qualifications of the Design EngineerABET or equivalent accredited B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering with 2+ years’ relevant experience or M.S. in engineering
- Experience with robotic, automated, or remotely operated systems design, development, and integration
- Experience with electro-mechanical system layout/controls
- Experience with selecting and integrating sensors, actuators, and motion control systems
