Systems Engineer

Summary:
As a crucial team member, the Systems Engineer will manage and maintain our IT Infrastructure. This includes overseeing storage arrays, Microsoft Entra, VMware, LAN/WAN, and both on-premises and cloud-based environments. The role involves troubleshooting, resolving issues, and providing support to minimize downtime, making it a key position in our firm's operations.
Primary Responsibilities:

• Storage Management: Administer and maintain storage arrays and MDS SAN, ensuring data integrity and availability.
• Backup management: Manage and monitor backup agents and jobs to safeguard data.
• Microsoft Entra & VMware: Design, implement, and support Microsoft Entra and VMware environments
• Network Management: Oversee LAN/WAN infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Cloud & On-Premises Support: Manage hybrid environments, build cloud solutions, and integrate with existing systems.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize disruptions, including rotating on-call support.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for systems architecture, policies, and processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with storage solutions (EMC, HPE), Microsoft Entra, VMware, and network management.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune, Veeam, and Microsoft Azure is a plus.
• Working knowledge of SolarWinds to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Proficient in PowerShell scripting for automating tasks, managing systems, and enhancing operational efficiency.
• Experience with replication technologies and disaster recovery.
• Experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Cisco switches, with a strong understanding of network protocols and security measures.
• Proficiency in managing and maintaining VoIP systems, including installing, configuring, and troubleshooting voice-over IP networks.
• Relevant certifications are a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills for internal collaboration and documentation.
