Product Owner

Job Overview

Spirent is seeking an experienced Product Manager to help drive the success of our High-Speed Ethernet Test Solutions. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Product Management, you will have responsibility for driving our key hardware/platform programs and providing thought leadership that helps define the overall strategy, product definition and go-to-market for our flagship Ethernet Test Platform.

As a key member of our Product Management team, you'll be working closely with Business, Engineering and Contract Manufacturing to define & build test solutions that help our Global Service Providers, Cloud Operators and Equipment Manufacturers validate their next generation 5G, IoT, Connected Vehicle and Cloud Infrastructures. You will also be the voice of the customer in ensuring customer feedback is incorporated into products while also synthesizing customer data to identify trends and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Partner with Manufacturing: Ensure Engineering and Product Management requirements are met by our manufacturing partners. You will work closely with Supply Chain and Operations to ensure that the right products are built.
2. Define Product Strategy and Positioning: Actively engage with our customers, partners and internal teams to define our product vision, qualify market requirements, develop product definition and help create/execute a successful go-to-market plan.
3. Help Create Demand and enable Sales & Customer Success: Collaborate with Marketing, Sales and customers to create innovative demand generation and GTM plans that measurably build pipeline for maximum revenue growth. Nurture strategic relationships with key customers to enable future roadmap conversations on current and long-range planning.
4. Content creation: Collaborate closely with Marketing, Sales and internal product teams to create collateral that accurately reflects the features & benefits of our products and solutions. Ensure proper positioning, integration and evangelization of our solutions & technologies across Spirent's broader solution portfolio. Assist with creating training materials and conducting end user training.
5. Market intelligence: Be the expert on your target market and customer segments. Conduct market and technology analysis to get a broader sense of the market opportunities and competitive product use. Combine your market knowledge, industry experience and understanding of customer requirements to create market/product requirement documents that enable dynamic and sustaining product success.
6. Be an Evangelist and Thought leader: Your technology expertise will inspire confidence in Spirent and our Industry Leading Solutions. Help craft and deliver compelling presentations for industry events and webinars. Share your knowledge as you represent Spirent at technical industry organizations and user groups.
7. Hands on: You are willing to roll up your sleeves and get to the bottom of the issues facing customers.

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree, from an accredited university, or equivalent work experience.
2. Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience in a product management / product owner role.
3. In-depth understanding of networking architectures, protocols, and applications.
4. Knowledge of Ethernet testing solutions preferable.
5. Strong awareness of technology trends and their potential influence on Spirent's business.
6. Excellent listening, oral and written communication/presentation skills with strong ability to influence people at all levels and in various functions.
7. Both English verbal and written skills required. Mandarin language communication skills are desirable but not required.
8. Willingness to travel - can exceed 25%
