About The Job
Alon’s Bakery & Market is an esteemed European bakery and market seeking a talented, driven, communicative, and sales-focused Assistant Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to lead a team to fulfill the vision of our high-quality operation while consistently meeting sales goals and customer service expectations.
Reports to: General Manager and Owner/Chef Alon Balshan
The Job
- Acquire a deep understanding of the brand ethos and volume to coach our team at an exceptional level and create a stellar experience for Alon’s Bakery guests.
- Build sales through service and salesmanship,
- Assist guest's needs by exhibiting a deep knowledge of our pastry, bread, soup, salad, and sandwich departments.
- Ensure the integrity of our product, aesthetic, and service by upholding quality control and providing clear and effective training for our team.
Previous experience in a fast-paced sales environment in a leadership role is a must, and a kitchen/cafe environment is an excellent plus.
Job Responsibilities
- Opening/closing operational procedures,
- Coaching and directing the team to ensure Alon's operational standards are being executed.
Skills, Experience and Education Required
- 1-3 years of previous experience in a similar environment as a leadership position (quick service food or retail)
- Self-starter, flexible, creative, and strong leadership skills
- Ability to multi-task, and change priorities constantly as needed in a fast-paced environment
