We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Attraction Manager with a passion for video games, live experiences and travel to join our Location Based touring experiences company. In this role, you are an administrative and operating link between the touring attraction and the remotely based Tour Operations Director, providing leadership and daily oversight to the local attraction operating team.
In addition to strong managerial skills and the ability to work independently and efficiently, we are looking for an individual who understands the importance of delivering every guest an elevated guest experience, inspiring and motivating the Attraction operating team so they share in that commitment.

On tour, you will work closely with the production manager and the merchandise manager who will also report to the Tour Operations Director. You will manage a locally cast and contracted front of house team who will consist of duty managers, guest service greeters, experience facilitators, salesclerks, housekeeping, and security.

The touring experience will be visiting top tier cities in North America for runs of 14 to 20 weeks per city, playing multiple cities per year.

The Villager Rescue is an immersive, active and interactive Minecraft adventure that will encourage guests to become a hero of the roughly one-hour experience. Led by a pair of digital guides and human facilitators, guests will explore multiple biomes, engage in active gameplay, collect ingredients and solve puzzles to try and rescue the villagers.

  • POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Collaborate with the producers and the Tour Operations Director to develop a detailed and actionable experience staffing and operating plan that will consistently deliver a flawless presentation of Minecraft Experience in every tour city.
    • Work with a local staffing agency to select and hire qualified local operating team members from a prescreened pool of candidates who are well-spoken, confident and enthusiastic team players.
    • Directly lead and manage the scheduling, orientation, training and motivation of the locally hired operating team in each tour city to ensure that team members are prepared and inspired to take on their respective roles and responsibilities and deliver a consistent and memorable guest experience.
    • During the experience operating period in each city, be directly responsible to manage and monitor experience operating standards, metrics and safety and assigned budgets for local staffing and services.
    • Perform assigned duties personally and or by managed delegation to trained assistant management subordinates.
    • Collaborate with and coordinate the provision of on-site support as required by the producers, ticketing, customer care, marketing, social media and public relations teams.
    • Collaborate with the special situation team as the on-site lead for crisis management and communication. Be prepared to provide calm, accurate and professional leadership and communication during challenging situations and circumstances.
    • Review, update and edit the Daily Report for clarity before submitting (on-line) to the Tour Operations Director.
  • ADDITIONAL PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
    • 2 to 5 years of team leadership experience, preferably in attraction, theme park or touring experience environments.
    • Familiar with attraction and touring entertainment operating structures including remote collaboration and support from management and different functional departments.
    • Comfort with a touring, road managerial position that will require working irregular hours, weekends and holidays and the need to be on call to respond to time sensitive matters when the experience operation requires.
    • Understanding of POS (point of sale) systems and basic accounting and budgeting skills.
    • Ability to work independently and efficiently with strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
    • Proven team building skills and comfortable leading and motivating diverse teams.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal and external stakeholders and with the public.
    • A personal interest and passion for the attraction and entertainment industry.
    • Interest in and knowledge of video games and what makes for a fun and socially engaging game play experience.
    • Proficient in all MS Office programs including but not limited to excel spreadsheets.
