Hinckley Allen is seeking a mid-level associate to join our team of attorneys representing construction clients in all facets of their businesses – from bid protests, claim preparation and presentation, and negotiations, to mediations, litigation, and appeals. The ideal candidate will have will have at least three (3) years of experience taking and defending depositions, drafting and arguing dispositive motions, and preparing for arbitrations, mediations and trial. The candidate should also have experience with e-discovery. Experience litigating various types of construction disputes, including delay and disruption claims, payment disputes, and breach of contract claims, is a plus. Admission to Massachusetts Bar required.


The position offers an excellent opportunity to assume significant responsibility and hands-on experience in a collaborative, sophisticated and team-oriented work environment. In this role, you will evaluate, manage and monitor significant complex disputes and litigation matters on a national basis, engage in risk management of potential claims, develop litigation and resolution strategies, report to clients, manage local counsel, experts and collaborate with multiple entities.


Candidates must have excellent writing and oral communication skills, along with an excellent academic record. Must also be highly motivated and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team.
