Location: Seattle, Washington

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as an experienced individual contributor within a team, further developing leadership, guidance, and mentoring skills.
  2. Manage payroll functions, develop and analyze payroll documents, and ensure adherence to organizational processes and policies.
  3. Provide strategic recommendations in support of operational efficiencies.
  4. Exhibit influential skills to drive operational efficiencies and processes.
  5. Ensure compliance with all applicable contracts, laws, and local and federal regulations, as well as company pay policies.
  6. Maintain related records, file tax reports and deduction reports, process involuntary deductions such as garnishments, and prepare special reports for management.
  7. Audit pay records and investigate variances.
  8. Work closely with technical departments to implement process improvements, test system changes, and lead special projects within the payroll department.
  9. Offer suggestions, advice, and solutions regarding payroll processing procedures.
  10. Demonstrate a general understanding of payroll operations, policies, and procedures.
  11. Exhibit strong attention to detail with the ability to seek corrective action when inconsistencies are identified.
  12. Manage payroll-related projects, meeting specified deadlines.
  13. Responsible for labor reconciliation, reviewing and requesting timecard corrections when required.
  14. Deliver timecard training to ensure the organization remains compliant.
  15. Ensure timely processing of timesheet corrections and maintain payroll accuracy and compliance.
  16. Collaborate with accounting colleagues to assist in the reconciliation of payroll records.
