About the Role


Position Summary:

The Global Key Account Director will globally own a specific key customer account. This role will ensure that all commercial aspects globally for that key account are effectively managed directly or coordinated via regional Symrise representatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build a pro-active, competitive sales approach based on the client needs and the unique selling propositions of Symrise products.
  • Develop a long-term sales strategy, to improve market penetration and ensure sustainable and profitable growth.
  • Advise and inform on customer activities, customer brands, market trends and competitors activities to aid strategic planning.
  • Responsible to update and monitor rolling forecast on monthly basis. Ensure timely and accurate forecast from all regions.
  • Take global lead role and actively participate to annual UV & Chemical bids and RFQ opportunities.
  • Build up and further improve all geographical customer relationships with regional Key Account Managers.
  • Develop global multi-level contacts between customer and Symrise for proper reciprocal function interfaces.
  • Work in close collaboration with internal supporting teams: Business Units, R&D, Operations, Marketing, etc.

About You


Require
d Qualifications :

  • Bachelor degree in chemical and/or biological sciences. Master’s degree would be an asset.
  • 10+ years job experience in a Key Account Manager role for multinational companies within the cosmetics or cosmetic ingredient industries.
  • Technical knowledge about cosmetic ingredients and their application.
  • Global cosmetic market and customer knowledge.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Proficiency with SAP and/or EIS is desired.
  • Excellent Communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Excellent project management and problem solving capabilities.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Strategic vision and planning capabilities.
  • Business English, fluent (oral + written).
  • International orientation, used to work in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Travel requirement (national + international): Approximately 30% - 40%.
