Position Details:
Full-time - 1.0 FTE
Monday- Friday, 7:30am-5:00pm
Late Clinic Coverage until 6/6:30pm, 1-2 times/week
No nights, holidays, or weekends
Location:
St. Cloud, Coborn Cancer Center
Outreach: 1-4 days per month to regional site
The Advance Practice role at Coborn Cancer Center is uniquely designed to support the Oncology patients, the Medical Oncologists, and the clinic workflow.? A few responsibilities include:
- Facilitating survivorship programming, including symptom management, breast surveillance and post-treatment survivorship visits.
- Support same day add-on patients experiencing adverse effects from their treatment or disease.
- Perform in-person and virtual visits for Coborn Cancer Center patients and regional partners in oncology care.
- Provide supervision to patients receiving treatment in the Infusion Center (both Oncology and non-Oncology).
- Support benign hematology patients through consult and follow up with referring providers.
The ideal provider will have:
- A desire to care for patients with complex medical conditions including having serious illness conversations with patients to establish goals of care.
- Interest in caring for patients undergoing cancer treatment, end of life/palliative care and symptom management.
- Ability to build relationships through strong communication skills with a multidisciplinary team.?
- Understanding of Evidenced Based Practice and Nursing Research.? APRNs are required to be involved with one EBP and research study every year as applicable.
- Willingness to provide mentorship of nursing staff as an APRN.?
- Comfort with IV therapy, as this role includes supervision on the Infusion Center.
To be considered for our position you need to:
Meet one of the following requirements:
Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (AGNP or FNP) Clinical Nurse Specialist, or Current Minnesota Physician Assistant Licensure?
We would prefer that our candidate have NP or PA experience* in one of the following areas:
Oncology or Palliative Care/Hospice
*New graduates will be considered with a minimum of 5 years clinical experience as an Oncology RN.
In addition, all applicants must have a current American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider card and Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration number prior to receiving clinical privileges.
