With such a large and diverse group of constituents, there are significant operational demands at the college level.The College’s Operations Group is comprised of 10+ full-time positions with financial, human resources, IT, facilities, logistics, and general business operational responsibilities. This group of staff members reports through the College’s Executive Director of Operations and, along with over 50 student hourly positions, is collectively responsible for all operational matters within the college. Each full-time member of the College’s Operations Group is an autonomous professional position that is primarily responsible for one particular area of the College’s operations, but is also expected to act as a generalist, assisting with other projects and initiatives within the Operations Group, the Dean’s Office, or the College at large as needed.Position SummaryThe Events and Logistics Coordinator within the College of Health and Human Sciences ( CHHS ) is a 12-month, full-time Administrative Professional position. The Events and Logistics Coordinator reports directly to the Associate Director of Operations for the College of Health and Human Sciences. Working as a member of the college operations group, this position will manage event logistics for the CHHS Dean’s Office and will operate in a support capacity for event operations for all the College’s academic units and centers (including, but not limited to: Homecoming, student recruitment, executive leadership council, and alumni events).This position will act as the liaison and point person for event stakeholders, including event vendors, college stakeholders, and campus partners. This position will provide logistical oversight of events leading up to and day of, ensuring all applicable deadlines are met and CSU procedures and policies for events are followed.Working directly with event vendors, this position will work within university procurement guidelines to negotiate pricing, services, and expectations for events, and with department business officers ensure funding is available, provide up to date event budget tracking, and ensures all vendor payments are made in a timely manner.
