The Electrophysiology Technologist I acts as a critical member of the patient care team within the department, collaborates fully with the other care team members in assuring continuity of care for their patients. The Electrophysiology Technologist I promotes a philosophy of patient/family-focused care in all interactions with patients, families, and hospital personnel and focuses on understanding and meeting customer needs.
Qualifications
- Educated and certified in one of the following ways:
- Graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology or related field.
- Graduated with an Associate's Degree from an accredited School of Cardiovascular Technology.
- Graduated with an Associate's Degree from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology certified by the ARRT, and possess a valid license to practice as a radiologic technologist in the state of Massachusetts.
- Completion of BLS and ACLS certification within 3 months of employment preferred; within 6 months required.
- Minimum three years of interventional experience preferred.
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCES) preferred.
- No documented corrective action over the last year of employment.
- Experience with precepting new employee(s) on at least one occasion preferred.
