We are looking for a dynamic and passionate People and Culture Manager to join our team and contribute to our vibrant workplace culture.

Position Overview:

As the People and Culture Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping and maintaining Pacific Edge Hotel's positive and inclusive culture. You will work closely with the General Manager to ensure that our team members feel valued, supported, and motivated. This is a one-person office role requiring a hands-on approach and a strong ability to multitask.

Key Responsibilities:

Employee Relations: Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting open communication.

Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new team members.

Training & Development: Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and career growth.

Performance Management: Oversee performance appraisal processes, providing guidance and support to managers and employees.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with labor laws and hotel policies and maintain up-to-date employee records.

Culture & Engagement: Organize team-building activities, recognition programs, and initiatives to promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

HR Administration: Handle HR administrative tasks, such as payroll processing, benefits administration, and employee documentation.

Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is preferred.

Proven experience in a Human Resources or People and Culture role, preferably in the hospitality industry.

Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations. Experience working in a union environment would be beneficial.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Bilingual in Spanish is highly desirable.

Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
