38441BRExtended Job Title:TTU K-12 Counselor - InternationalPosition Description:Performs K-12 school counseling duties, including advising for educational, professional, or other advanced academic advising or training at the individual or group level as appropriate. Provides virtual counseling services to students as needed. Responsibilities may include assisting in the analysis of special and/or complex problems. May supervise counselors, advisors, or other employees. Performance is based on individual counseling effectiveness and overall program results obtained. Work is performed under standard supervision in accordance with established policies and procedures.Requisition ID:38441BRTravel Required:Up to 50%Major/Essential Functions:Effectively supervise the academic elements involved in the TTU K-12 International Partnerships including but not limited to the supervision of teachers, validation of student transcripts, and adherence to graduation requirements as set forth by the Texas Education Agency.Assist leaders and others in the department with projects and assignments, including research of information. Responsible for helping TTU K-12 provide global educational opportunities, market recognition, and increase sales.Conduct conferences/Skypes concerning all types of issues with students, parents, or other stakeholders as necessary. Ensure the effective and quick resolutions of conflicts.Develop systems to handle requests from partners and to enhance program effectiveness.Efficiently manage, evaluate, and develop processes for continuous improvement of all aspects for the TTU K-12 programs including, but not limited to monitoring instructional and managerial processes to ensure program activities and outcomes are correlated and use findings to take corrective action if necessary.Approve student admissions and enrollments, work with registrars, school officials, and other agencies involved in a student's education. Evaluate transcripts, validate proctors, and ensure students are enrolled according to Texas graduation requirements.Maintain and monitor student files. Follow up with students and parents regarding enrollments and progress with coursework (as needed). Contact student frequently and routinely to help foster a sense of community for our students.Strategically work with all divisions of TTU K12, TTU Online, and Academic Partnerships to develop and improve methods, processes, and procedures to ensure a positive student experience.Provide supervision and direction to the international support team to ensure efficiency in customer service interactions for international partners and document all processes and work as necessary.Handle inbound and outbound customer service inquiries via email, phone, or any other means TTU K-12 deems necessary to support our customers. Properly utilize all systems to document customer service interaction. Mediate between faculty and students.Other duties as assigned by the supervisor/principal(s).REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Computer literate in Word, Excel, Office, and have knowledge of the SIS and LMS. Able to use video conferencing platforms. Excellent and effective written and oral communication skills. Have the ability to work and perform on several projects simultaneously.
