About this role:

The primary purpose of this role is to lead the MSE End User (EU) Ops team with a focus on growth & retention programs that are aligned to MSE priorities and always encapsulate Gartner proven practices – Pathway to Gold (PTG). This is a unique opportunity for a leader seeking a high impact and high visibility role in a fast-moving business.


What you’ll do:

  1. Key partner to the MSE EU Sales Leadership Team (SLTs) to ensure programs incorporate regional needs and have leadership commitment.
  2. Partner with SLT, GTS Ops and Team NCVI to continuously assess/define/improve program(s) that: Drive pipeline conversion through disciplined execution of PTG 6 best practices (e.g., PACT/IPW/POCs).
  3. Ensure retention is a driver of growth through disciplined execution of PTG 1 and PTG 2 best practices (e.g. MY/QBR/IAs/ERwG).
  4. Actively support the MSE Quarterly Campaign program in partnership with GSSO, GTS Ops, Team NCVI, and SLT – ensure desired outcome of high-quality pipeline following PTG 6 and PTG 7 best practices (e.g. Whitespace/ Virtual Briefings).
  5. Serve as key partner to EU Product:
  6. Support efforts to assess, quantify & prioritize growth opportunities.
  7. Continuously advocate MSE needs to effectively align Gartner value to the “bullseye” roles.
  8. Partner with SBA experts:
  9. Monitor program outcomes by aligning to the right PTG leading/lagging indicators.
  10. Conduct deeper analysis to support root-cause assessments.
  11. Help organize and execute efforts across Product, Sales Enablement, Marketing, Service, Specialists and SL&D to upskill sales and equip them for success.
  12. Work with SL&D to align and contextualize New Hire and Tenured trainings into overall MSE EU programming.
  13. Support other corporate efforts on as-needed basis (e.g. LRPs, YET/Quota Settings, ROEs, OC requests, etc.).

What you’ll need:

  1. 8+ years in a B2B sales environment with significant experience in sales operations/enablement, sales, or product management; 3+ years of internal Gartner experience preferred.
  2. Very strong program management skills with extensive experience in defining, building, and executing retention and growth sales programs in global organizations.
  3. Track record of solving challenging business problems in client facing businesses leading to measurable results.
  4. Ability to create strong credibility with Sales leadership and become a trusted advisor.
  5. Ability to operate effectively in a global organization through tight collaboration and strong BU partnerships.
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to create and deliver effective decks and updates for use by multiple levels of staff, up to and including the executive level.
  7. Strong facilitation and influence skills.
  8. Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  9. Interest in understanding complex problems to identify underlying drivers and surface innovative approaches that can scale.
  10. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 134,000 USD - 184,500 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
