VP Of Technology - Healthcare Insurance Plan
As the Vice President of Technology for our Healthcare Insurance Plan, you will be steering the technological directives and strategies within our organization. This key leadership role focuses on managing and optimizing our IT infrastructure and data management systems to support comprehensive healthcare delivery and operational excellence. You will play a pivotal role in executing a strategic, forward-thinking IT roadmap that aligns with the organization’s objectives, leveraging technology to enhance our data management systems, improve reporting, and ensuring secure, proficient network operations in a healthcare environment. This position requires a hands-on approach to manage sophisticated computer systems and networks, ensuring compliance with strict regulatory requirements including HIPAA and PHI protocols while fostering innovation in healthcare technological processes.
Compensation: $225.00 - $265.00
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of IT strategies encompassing Data Management, Reporting, Network, and Systems Infrastructure.
- Oversee the organization’s technological infrastructure, ensuring the security and efficiency of critical information and data systems.
- Direct the formulation and execution of the IT strategic plan and roadmap that supports the broader enterprise strategy.
- Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices, guiding methodology and processes in areas such as Project Management, SDLC, and Change Management.
- Manage IT vendor relationships effectively to build strong partnerships that align strategically and provide exceptional value.
- Collaborate with business leaders, identifying technological needs to develop solutions that increase operational efficiency.
- Lead initiatives to explore new technologies, facilitating continuous improvement in process and system functionality.
- Administer IT budget planning for both capital and expenses to support long-term and immediate goals.
- Manage company facilities and relationships with leasing partners.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures related to application, data security, infrastructure, and integration.
- Ensure robust Disaster Recovery strategies, verification of capabilities, and regular testing.
- Ensure IT compliance with federal, state, and industry regulations, including HIPAA and PHI security.
- Carry out additional duties as necessary to support the IT department and organizational goals.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 15 years of experience in implementing and architecting complex data management and BI capabilities, with significant leadership experience in managing large and complex IT operations.
- Strong background in the health plan industry.
- In-depth understanding of business strategies and the capacity to align IT initiatives accordingly.
- Proven track record in designing, developing, and implementing complex IT solutions in a healthcare context.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
- Certifications in Project Management (PMP), ITIL, or relevant technical certifications.
- Experience in leading digital transformation projects in healthcare settings.
- Demonstrable skills in negotiation and vendor management.
- Advanced knowledge of data security protocols and regulatory compliance requirements in healthcare.
