Job Description:

Position Overview: The Disc Team Leader will be a pivotal role within Disc Store, responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our disc golf and ultimate frisbee business. This includes our physical store, online presence on DiscStore.com and DiscGolfBaskets.com, and our DiscMember monthly subscription service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for disc golf, a thorough understanding of all major brands, and strong business acumen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Online Presence Management: Oversee and manage the online store at DiscStore.com, ensuring an exceptional user experience, optimizing for sales conversions, and maintaining an up-to-date inventory.
  • Brick and Mortar Management: Act as the General Manager for our physical store, ensuring smooth daily operations, exceptional customer service, and effective staff management.
  • Product Knowledge & Networking: Utilize deep knowledge of major disc golf brands to network and negotiate with manufacturers, ensuring we offer the best products at competitive prices.
  • Subscription Service Management: Plan and execute the DiscMember monthly subscription service, ensuring timely delivery and high customer satisfaction.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain a deep understanding of inventory turn rates and margins to ensure efficient stock levels and maximized profitability.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a dedicated team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategies to achieve a 15% annual sales growth over the next three years and expand our course basket presence by 50% annually.
  • Cross-Company Collaboration: Work closely with the Extra Mile Ecommerce team to contribute to overall company goals and initiatives. This role will report to our Head of Sales and Marketing at Extra Mile and work closely with the CEO of Extra Mile on strategy for the disc business.

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 7 years of business management experience, preferably in retail and ecommerce.
  • Passion for disc golf and comprehensive knowledge of all major brands.
  • Proven ability to network and negotiate with manufacturers.
  • Strong understanding of inventory turn rates and margins.
  • Experience managing both physical and online retail environments.
  • Excellent team management and leadership skills.
  • Strategic mindset with a proven track record of executing growth plans.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to contribute to and align with overall company goals and objectives.

Compensation:

  • Salary: $40,000 - $70,000 depending on experience.
  • Team Bonus: 20% of company profits paid out to employees when yearly goal is achieved.
