We are actively looking for subject matter experts who have in-depth knowledge in the Network Routing and Switching domain and a strong understanding of the TCP/IP Stack. A team player who can work dedicatedly with junior folks, troubleshooting and guiding them in their day-to-day activities. Must have strong design and documentation skills with architecting large infrastructure projects.
SME - Network Routing & Switching
SKILLS Required
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware
- Ability to assess infrastructure and design solutions with documentation
- Strong understanding of end-to-end network infrastructure of Data Center and Campus Network infrastructure
- Designs, implements, and maintains various networks such as LAN, WAN, and voice systems in accordance with specified requirements.
- Prepares data or voice network diagrams and drawings to document and assist in communicating current implementation status of networks
- Ability to implement and troubleshoot complex environments, including routing and switching, L2 Protocols (Ex: STP, P2P, ARP, etc.), L3 Protocols (BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP, etc.)
- Experience in design and implementing Cisco products including, but not limited to, current Cisco Router and Switch Products such as Catalyst and Nexus
- Experience in multiple NAC solutions
- Experience in Wireless LAN Controller
- Experience in configuring and managing Data Center Cisco Nexus Switches (5K, 7K, 9K)
- Routing and switching (Cisco / Juniper Platform)
- Experience in Load balancers (Any OEM Citrix / Radware / F5)
- Experience in SDN Solutions like CISCO ACI & SDA is highly preferred
- Identify risk and plan for mitigations
- Ability to work on end-to-end greenfield and brownfield migration
- Consulting background or experience working with multiple customers is an added advantage
- Knowledge of Cloud infrastructure
Role & Responsibilities
- Be the Subject Matter Expert on network routing and switching for design and implementation of large Data Center and Campus network environments
- Be a mentor to other engineers on the team and ensure the technical enablement of the team
Must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in IT, Communications, or a related field.
Minimum 12 years of experience in the IT Industry, with a minimum of 8+ years’ experience in implementing complex large enterprise LAN, Wireless LAN, and security-grade projects.
Minimum 3+ years’ experience as an SME in the IT field, including complex project delivery comprising complex large LAN, Wireless LAN, security, and service provider projects.
Should have in-depth knowledge of various application and network services.
Working experience with various OEM products and technologies such as Cisco, HPE, Juniper, and Checkpoint, etc.
