Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced systems / process control engineer to optimize our manufacturing line and oversee its integration within our digital workflow. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering, industrial automation, and digital transformation within a manufacturing environment. This position requires a deep understanding of CNC machinery, technical drawings, and the ability to maintain strict quality standards. Critical to the success of this new line, and ultimately the delivery of BamCore’s orders to its customers, will be accurately transferring the job-specific parts in Revit to the various machine stations. This role requires an engineer who can work cross-functionally as we scale, implementing cutting-edge technology and driving continuous improvement and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies, including IoT, automation, and data analytics, to enhance manufacturing operations.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to system integration and automated manufacturing equipment/tooling, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to production.
  • Create an in-house network that delivers G-code to a number of machining centers, taking inputs back from in-line testing and then adding data to the part’s traceable data.
  • Identify and implement manufacturing process improvements enhance efficiency, optimize routines for production queueing, reduce lead times, increase cost-effectiveness, and improve product quality.
  • Prepare and present reports, proposals, and performance metrics to senior management.
  • Build strong relationships with vendors and partners to leverage external expertise and technology that drives future development of the company’s proprietary CAD/CAM platform.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in CAD/CAM to maintain competitive advantage.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development and manufacturing operations, to drive project success and ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Work on specific machine centers, including location of specific staff to specific positions for optimal efficiencies.  
  • Backup to Operate CNC machines to produce finished panels according to technical drawings and specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machinery and production processes.
  • Ensure the manufacture of a quality product.
  • Optimize plant operations, focusing on constraints, to optimize total plant throughput and facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Develop, plan, and execute the Plant’s Preventive Maintenance and Reliability Centered Maintenance programs.
  • Develop and manage the Plants Maintenance and Engineering Teams.  Define organizational needs in conjunction with the Director of Global Operations.
  • Develop standards for effective plant performance. 
Required Skills:
  • Expert in CAD/CAM software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, Fusion360, CIM-Tech, etc.
  • Expert in cloud-based CAD/CAM Common Data Environments such as B360
  • Proficiency in automation tools, CAD/CAM plugins or programming languages commonly used in systems integration, such as Dynamo, Python, C++, or PLC programming.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, CNC machining, control systems, IoT technologies, and industrial automation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft product suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial design, information sciences or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in CAD/CAM and systems engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • At least 2 years in a leadership role with a proven track record of successfully leading CAD/CAM projects and teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with industrialized construction methodologies, robotics, and automated manufacturing equipment/technologies.
  • Experience with ERP, MOM, and MES systems.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML, prompt engineering, and/or API integration to enhance the efficiency and capabilities of CAD/CAM systems is ideal, but not required.
