As a fast-paced high volume call center, we answer inbound calls and process customer emails on all aspects of the Department of Motor Vehicles, while providing clear, complete, and accurate information referencing agency statutes, regulation, and procedures. The Motor Vehicle Examiner Specialist can expect to:Handle inquires via incoming customer calls, emails, and letters regarding obtaining a new registration or license, help with different appointments that are offered.Research and resolve issues as they may relate to vehicle registrations, title, and license.Effectively communicate with others and be able to explain agency statutes, regulations, and procedures to a wide range of audiences.Assist Motor Vehicle Examiners by providing answers to complicated inquiries from internal and external customers.Aid the Head Examiner/Central II Supervisor during times of heavy call volume.Assist in the training of new staff onboarded within the Customer Contact Center.Participate in workgroups of new applications and web process that may require testing.Process updates to the Customer Contact Centers SharePoint as needed.Assist with state and out of state dealers, titling services on a priority phone line providing solutions to complex problematic issues.Participate with advanced Title priority Branch transactions as needed.Instruct Examiners on the use of Salesforce application.ABOUT USAt the State of Connecticut, Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), we are dedicated to protecting the health and safety of the motoring public through education, outreach and enforcement in the areas of vehicle weight and safety inspections, heavy duty diesel emission testing, traffic enforcement and investigations of any motor vehicle related complaints.Selection PlanTO APPLYIn order to be considered for this job opening you must be a current State of CT employee of the agency listed above for at least six (6) months of full-time service or full-time equivalent service, absent any applicable collective bargaining language, and meet the Minimum Qualifications as listed on the job opening.
