Senior Enterprise Cloud Architect
Location: Remote
Primary Role: Lead large and complex enterprise scale Cloud Migration projects for Fortune 500 strategic accounts. Provide strategic vision and architectural guidance for large $1M+ cloud projects, align with VP+ level stakeholders and build lasting client relationships.
MANDATORY TECHNICAL SKILLS
Cloud Delivery:
- Provide cloud architectural consulting expertise, direction, and assistance to business relationship managers, IT leadership and solution architects.
- Drives cloud standards for adopting cloud services to ensure consistency.
- Proven ability and initiative to learn and research new concepts, ideas, and technologies quickly.
- Work with cloud vendors to evaluate and select services that can support agile business requirements.
- Work closely with Data Privacy, Security and Networking to ensure compliance of cloud deployments with the company’s policies and procedures.
- Assist in determining cloud roles, cost analysis and budget requirements needed to support cloud solution.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of company’s existing IT divisional architecture/infrastructure, and technology portfolio.
- Prepare ROI analysis and assist with creating budget proposals to initiate the acquisition of cloud services.
- Evaluate impact of cloud solutions in the company’s architecture and security.
- Make presentations to management, clients, and peer groups as requested.
- Experience designing available Public Cloud services for enterprise consumption.
- Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
- Migrating legacy solutions to cloud is a plus;
- Knowledge of vendor software integration and interaction patterns.
- Expert knowledge of computing architectures.
- Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture discipline and frameworks.
- 10+ years’ experience in enterprise and/or solutions architecture.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative, multi-stakeholder, multi-location environment.
- Experience conducting proof-of-concept, developing prototyping and building reference models.

- Functional/Practice knowledge: Understanding of Journey to Cloud business drivers.
- Technical prowess: Technical expertise in Cloud delivery including security, networking, and application technologies.
- Industry knowledge: Deep knowledge of IT services/IT outsourcing globally; ability to communicate across stakeholders.
- Commercial knowledge: Ability to analyze sales opportunities and qualify leads and opportunities.
- Executive Presence: Effective executive communication skills to clearly articulate vision and lead effective teams across the Service Line; productively challenge counterparts, bringing valuable insights.
- Relationship management: Outstanding interpersonal abilities; skilled in managing relationships with executive leadership and business units.
- Leadership experience: Excellent organizational and leadership skills to lead by example; strong project management, collaboration, and business operations skills.
Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between 157,000 to 200,000 yearly depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
