As a Security Engineer, you will focus on defensive security and support vulnerability discovery across various assets and services. In this role, you will play a hands-on part in the proactive identification and remediation of security issues for our clients. You will utilize a variety of tools to analyze and review services, ensuring they are built securely. Your responsibilities will include secure source code reviews, automated security testing of APIs and endpoints, and a solid understanding of application-related vulnerabilities and their identification and resolution.
Typical Day in the Role:
- Engage in security testing operations focusing on automated security practices.
- Build and enhance automation rules to scale security operations.
- Conduct in-depth research to stay current with security trends and vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with teams to streamline security processes and improve overall security posture.
Candidate Requirements:
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of application security fundamentals.
- Experience in web application security testing.
- Background in application development.
- Hands-on experience with SAST (Static Application Security Testing) and DAST (Dynamic Application Security Testing) technologies.
- Proficiency in vulnerability identification and management both in code and running endpoints.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to partner effectively with security teams.
