Position:


We are seeking a seasoned Architect to join our dynamic team. This role will be instrumental in driving the architectural vision and ensuring the integrity of our software solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in .NET and AWS, along with experience in financial technology, investment data, and market data. The Architect will work closely with the Head of Engineering to strategize, design, and implement scalable and efficient systems.



Responsibilities:


Architectural Leadership:

  • Design and oversee the architectural framework of our software solutions.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals and technical strategy.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams.


System Design and Development:

  • Develop high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility.
  • Design and implement solutions that are scalable, robust, and maintainable.
  • Ensure the integrity of architecture and technology solutions.


Technical Oversight:

  • Lead the development and implementation of .NET-based applications.
  • Oversee the AWS infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Review and approve code, ensuring it meets the highest standards of quality and security.


Collaboration and Mentorship:

  • Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and priorities.
  • Mentor and guide team members, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Act as the right-hand person to the Head of Engineering, providing support and expertise as needed.


Innovation and Improvement:

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve system performance, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas to our technology, algorithms, and products.



Position Requirements:


Experience and Skills:

  • 8+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on architecture and system design.
  • Strong expertise in .NET, AWS and Data Lake
  • Experience in financial technology, investment data, or market data is a significant plus.
  • Proficiency in relational databases (Postgres), NoSQL databases (MongoDB), and modern web technologies (JavaScript, Python).
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and pipeline management.


Technical and Analytical Skills:

  • Ability to design and implement complex systems and solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
  • Experience with end-to-end testing and ensuring system reliability.


Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work well within a team.


Educational Background:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.


Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of AI and machine learning concepts, particularly in the context of financial technology.
  • Experience with Snowflake and other modern data platforms.
  • Previous experience in a startup or high-growth environment.
  • Understanding of computer vision and its applications.
