About The Job
As the Regional Director of Sales at Ossium Health, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth within your assigned region. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional with a proven track record of delivering on sales targets. You'll be our first field-based salesperson, with the long-term plan of building out a sales team to support you. Within your region, you'll be responsible for executing excellently on every part of the sales process, from opening new accounts to growing existing business.
This role reports directly to the Head of Sales.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Demonstrated ability to relate to customers and constituents within the orthopedic/sports medicine market
- People management experience
- 7+ years demonstrated sales success in orthopedics
- Comfortable in surgery/operating room environments
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Capability to operate with a high level of organization and excellent time management in a dynamic startup environment
- Travel up to 75%
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the healthcare or regenerative medicine industry
- Knowledge of cellular therapies and related technologies
- Previous experience working in a dynamic and rapidly growing company
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue goals within the assigned region
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, healthcare providers, and industry partners
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of sales efforts with overall business objectives
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and challenges
- Provide regular reports and updates on sales performance, market trends, and strategic initiatives to senior management
- Drive sales planning and execution initiatives to include reliable forecasting and quota achievement, identification of key opportunities, market trends, competitor activity, and key accounts for activity initiatives
- Communicate with current and new customer accounts regarding a variety of topics, including product updates, changes to product portfolio, and educational programs
- Implement new sales plans and effective marketing strategies to position the organization competitively and to meet/exceed territory objectives
- Perform training or mentoring; transfer knowledge to Sales Managers, Sales Representatives and to Sales Associates when needed
- Participate in and attend sales meetings and professional association meetings outside of regular business hours, as required
In your first six months, some projects you'll work on include:
- Dive deep into Ossium's products and processes, soaking up information from internal experts
- Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing customers, physicians, distributors, and partners
- Work closely with the Head of Sales to establish and grow your territory
- Plan and execute strategic and tactical plans for your region including forecast, market analysis, distributor training, etc.
