Unit Description
Sodexo Corporate Services is looking for a General Manager to join our team in Iowa City, Iowa . Our food operation consists of one cafe which includes cafe services, catering, and coffee services. In addition to a strong culinary background, this position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to lead a team, and give directions. The ideal candidate will have culinary experience.
You will lead the food production team members in managing our culinary operations in the daily production of cafe and catering services. You will be responsible for ensuring purchasing and inventory compliance as well as managing food cost and production planning. Duties include:
- Managing the daily food production including planning and controls
- Ensuring Sodexo Culinary Standards including recipe compliance and food quality
- Labor and food cost control
- Menu planning
- Inventory Management
- Food Waste management
- Coaching, training, and development of the culinary staff

Qualifications & Requirements
