Our team is tasked with building shared services to ensure items sold on Amazon are legally compliant with regulations, thus enabling the de-risking of WW GMS, improving product safety, and gaining customer trust. We own the selling partner experience for Amazon. Millions of sellers across the world rely on this experience to quickly remediate various regulatory and other requests to continue selling. Our team builds highly scalable, configurable widgets that are deployed into multiple portals across Amazon with millions of visits daily. We use cutting-edge technologies and work closely with Amazon central front-end excellence teams and best-in-class UX design teams. The right candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with interactions across multiple stakeholders, product teams, UX designers, and principal engineers, and will be able to show influence across teams.


In this role you will:

  1. Help define the system architecture, own and implement specific components, and help shape the overall experience.
  2. Have responsibility for technical problem solving, creatively meeting product objectives, and developing best practices.
  3. Demonstrate cross-functional resource interaction to accomplish your goals.
  4. Write high-quality, efficient, testable code in leading front-end technologies.
  5. Design Amazon scale tools to facilitate internal business.
  6. Build highly available, secure systems and collaborate with some of the best engineers in the industry.
  7. Mentor other developers.
  8. Find out what it takes to engineer systems for "Amazon Scale".
  9. Own and operate the systems that you build based on real-time customer data and demanding service-level agreements.
  10. Contribute to planning, design, implementation, testing, operations, and process improvement as a member of a Scrum team.

About the team

SPX team under CoSS develops services which provide a singular best-in-class set of experiences, fulfilling compliance requirements for sellers. The team works on premises of building pluggable and reusable experiences and services that are configuration-driven and scale to millions of sellers, millions of SKUs, and de-risk multi-Billion GMS.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 1+ years of agile software development methodology experience
- Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Depending on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
